BOMBSHELL - Feature Documentary - PBS American Experience
Since 2022, I have been deeply involved in Bombshell, not only as a producer but also leading the archival research, fact-checking, and rights clearance for the project. My work spanned locating and securing historically significant materials, verifying the accuracy of complex narratives, and ensuring all media used in the film met legal and editorial standards. This comprehensive role has allowed me to support the film’s creative vision while safeguarding its historical integrity.
BOMBSHELL explores how the U.S. government creates a false narrative about the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II. Through propaganda, censorship, and by co-opting the press, the government presents a benevolent picture of atomic power, minimizing the horrific human toll of the bombings.
